Encouraging statistics from SAT-7:

there are an estimated 25 million people watching SAT-7's channels, with more than 900 viewers contacting SAT-7 support teams every day, giving an annual figure of around 329,000 for the last year, an increase of 40% on the previous year. The growing response from Afghanistan is also encouraging: since 2017, the annual number of Afghans contacting SAT-7 for support, prayer or to ask how to follow Jesus doubled to almost 400. Furthermore, amongst Turkish speakers, SAT-7 TURK has seen an increase of more than 200% in viewer phone calls. Kathryn

LAST WORD SUNDAY 14TH. JULY 2019

Dear Friends,

Looking out of the vicarage window, due to all the rain and now the sun, everything has been growing. I have had to do quite a bit of mowing, cutting and trimming recently. Our apple tree now has quiet a few apples on it, far more than last year. The squirrels however are starting their usual antics.

Run up the tree

knock off an apple

run down the tree

take a bite.

Run back up

the tree knock off the next apple

run down the tree take a bite …..

I am sure you can see the pattern that is developing here.

Squirrels are creatures of habit and the youngsters are learning off the older ones.

We too can be the same. Hopefully coming to church is more than just a repetitive habit. However, those watching us do so or hearing the bells or seeing the spire pointing to heaven will recognise this as witness of Christ Jesus.

Sometimes it is in the simple repetitive tasks that faith is found.

Every blessing

Vicar Robert
